Michel about working at edilon)(sedra:
I joined edilon)(sedra in March 2018. I am working as the Sales Manager for Belgium and therefore the single point of contact for all Belgian customers. I have always had a deep interest in technology and a passion for public transport, which is essential for our planet’s sustainability. That is one of the reasons I love working at edilon)(sedra. Our customers vary from “De Lijn”, where we offered the rail fastening solution ERS for the “Kipdorpbrug” but we also offer solutions for the “Kusttram” and inner city projects where noise and vibration attenuation are becoming more and more important, to Infrabel where we installed ERS on 3 railway bridges over the “Albertkanaal” to diminish the risk of broken rails and continuously install Harmelen crossings. But we also play our role in industry where we design and install specialized solutions for very heavy traffic E.g., on the Arcelor Mittal site. All these projects are made as a subcontractor for the main Belgian railway installers

I joined edilon)(sedra in October 2023 as an HR assistant at our office in Haarlem, the Netherlands. From the start, I’ve enjoyed the variety in my role and the opportunity to contribute to different projects. My day typically begins with checking emails and setting priorities, but what comes next can vary—whether it’s preparing payroll, attending meetings, or working on the implementation of our new HR system, there are diverse activities to tackle. What I appreciate most about edilon)(sedra is how open and enthusiastic everyone is about sharing more about their work, the company, and its products. My colleagues are also interested in getting to know me as a person, which creates a positive and engaging work environment. The combination of diverse work activities and a welcoming team makes it an enjoyable place to be.

I joined edilon)(sedra in August 2021. I am working as a technical engineer in the R&D department in Haarlem, the Netherlands. I have been implementing finite element analysis as a tool to perform evaluation on the performance of the edilon)(sedra rail systems. Working with rubber-type materials required an extensive effort in gaining knowledge regarding their complex behaviour. Gaining this knowledge was not possible without the help and support of my amazing colleagues in the R&D department. Besides, I believe that the friendly relationship between colleagues is one of the most positive features of edilon)(sedra.
